Naruto Online is a free to play browser MMORPG developed and published by Oasgames (d with Tencent / Bandai Namco). It's the only officially licensed Naruto MMORPG out there and it's also incredibly popular (over 500 servers). I wanted to make a follow up video about my thoughts on the game, especially after playing Divine Storm and a handful of other Chinese browser games. Naruto Online is clearly one of the best games of this "type" as the English localizations are solid and its a polished experience.

Naruto Online is a free to play browser MMORPG published by OasGames and developed by the Chinese gaming giant Tencent - the same company that owns Riot Games. Unlike previous Naruto browser MMORPGs like Unlimited Ninja Naruto, Naruto Online is officially licensed. There have been quite a few unlicensed Bleach (Bleach Online) and One Piece (One Piece Online / One Piece Online 2) games in the past, so seeing an officially licensed one for a chance is a good change of pace. Given that Tencent is behind it too, the production value is much better than other browser MMORPGs. Like other games in the genre though, combat is largely automated and repetitive.
At long last, we can now play the official Naruto MMORPG, Naruto Online, in English. The browser-based title from Tencent was originally launched exclusively in China, much to the dismay of fans of the incredibly popular multimedia series worldwide. After first launching the game in German and Portuguese, Oasis Games has brought the title to the Western market.
Naruto Online allows players to collect characters from the series and assemble a team of their favorites. In fact, the very first character you obtain is Naruto.
Gameplay is similar to League of Angels 2, featuring a combat system that utilizes auto attacks punctuated by more powerful, manually-activated skills. Unlike League of Angels 2, however, there is a proper overworld.

Oasis Games Business Director Alen Wu had the following to say about the announcement.
There has been a lot of fan demand, so we are extremely honored to publish Naruto Online in the West. This game offers a great – and authentic - experience with every detail included, including voice acting from the original series, so English-speaking fans will soon be able to easily jump into and engage in the world they love. Furthermore, we’ll be able to extend the Naruto offering now that the manga has ended through player involvement and community building which creates a new kind of interactive experience which is exciting for us.
You can play the game now via the official website. As with many browser-based MMORPGs of recent times, both a browser version and a mini-client are available.
When the Tencent-developed official Naruto MMORPG Naruto Online was first released in China, I was sure that the title would never make it to the West. Tencent has many titles that have yet to be officially localized, perhaps the most prominent of which are Monster Hunter Online and Moonlight Blade. MMOCulture discovered today, however, that Oasis Games—the same company that handled the German and Portuguese versions of the title—will be launching an English version on July 20th.
For those who have not yet heard of Naruto Online, it is the only officially licensed Naruto MMORPG to exist as of yet. It is a browser-based, turn-based title that allows players to create their own ninja and build a party of characters from the series. Gameplay is reminiscent of many other browser based titles, but it does boast the Naruto license and all of the familiar characters and locales that come along with it.
