Ashes Of Creation Welcomes EverQuest’s Bill Trost As Its New Creative Director
Intrepid Studios, the developer behind EverQuest, and, more recently, served as a Creative Director at Amazon Game Studios.
He is now the lead designer for Ashes of Creation, bringing to bear his extensive experience with New World, it’s time for me to embark on a new adventure!” he announced on LinkedIn. “I’m happy to be able to say that I’m now the Lead Designer on Ashes of Creation at Intrepid Studios!”
While Trost says that he’s known Ashes of Creation’s Creative Director, Steven Sharif, for over seven years, Trost took time to fully embrace the project’s vision.
“[Sharif] laid out his detailed vision for this crazy ambitious MMO he wanted to build. I’ll it, at the time I was skeptical,” he said. “But I watched with growing excitement as the team Steven has built at Intrepid Studios gained steam, blasted through my skepticism, and started to deliver on his vision! The beautiful, deep world, the gamer-first attitude, and the openness of the team were all things I wanted to be a part of and so when the opportunity arose, I jumped at it.”
Trost also worked on Defiance. His addition to the team is a significant boost for Intrepid Studios, reinforcing their development team with Trost’s remarkable credits and expertise in the gaming industry.
