Ashes Of Creation Dives Into UI Design, Development, And UI Changes

A game’s UI design might not seem all that important, but it actually comes into play in every aspect of gameplay, from the very first time your roll a character to taking down endgame bosses and everything in between. Ashes of Creation’s latest development update video offers a comprehensive look into the work that went into the high fantasy MMORPG’s interface.

In the video, Intrepid Studios’ Lead UI Designer Colby Marchi walks players through the style guide that they used, iconography design, how they build the inventory UI, and some of the key features and elements that players can expect.

Marchi also promises to give players as much customization options as possible, including the ability to scale UI elements, edit the HUD, and save/load UI profiles, and goes into painstaking detail about nearly every aspect of the Ashes of Creation’s UI.
