NC America made a pair of significant announcements during Summer Game Fest 2025, signaling a major expansion for the Blade & Soul franchise. The publisher introduced Blade & Soul Heroes, a new action MMORPG set for global release this September, and confirmed that Blade & Soul NEO will receive a new Warlock class as part of a free update later this month.

Blade & Soul has been a notable name in the MMORPG scene since its original 2012 launch in South Korea, later building an international following thanks to its martial arts combat and fantasy setting. With these updates, NC America is looking to broaden the appeal and mechanics of the franchise on both PC and mobile.

Blade & Soul Heroes: A New Take on the Franchise

The Blade & Soul Heroes shifts away from standard MMORPG conventions by blending real-time and turn-based combat. The game revolves around collecting and customizing teams of heroes, some of whom will be familiar to long-time franchise fans.

Warlock Class Coming to Blade & Soul NEO

Blade & Soul NEO, the remastered version of the original MMORPG, will introduce a new caster class called Warlock on June 24. The Warlock brings medium-range magical abilities to the game, focused on controlling the battlefield and ing allies.

Utilizes charms and incantations for a variety of attacks
Can summon a Thrall, a demon ally, to assist in combat
Signature skills include “Soul Shackle” (immobilizes enemies) and “Dragoncall” (high-damage spell)
Defensive options such as “Quell” (energy shield) and “Repulse” (knockback ability)
