Bless Online Returns For The Third Time As Blockchain MMORPG Bless Global
blockchain MMORPG from South Korean blockhain game developer Tigon Mobile.
The most recent iteration of the fantasy MMORPG launched on PC via Steam and on mobile devices earlier this week and is being billed as “the first AAA GameFi MMORPG” with the usual play-to-earn promises you’d expect from a blockchain game.
“The game is built upon an open economy without the traditional rules regulating player transactions,” said Tigon. “All types of tokens circulating in this game are not bound to the characters, so players can trade among them to get the items/tokens they need. In this game, anyone has the potential to become a business tycoon!”
Given Valve’s stand against blockchain and play-to-earn games on Steam, you might be wondering how the game made it onto the platform in the first place. Well, Tigon has found a way around the rule by using cross-platform saving. While players won’t be able to use the NFTs and BLEC tokens they’ve minted on the Steam version, they can apparently do so on mobile.
For those who haven’t been following Bless Online’s seemingly cursed history, the original game launched back in 2018 courtesy of Neowiz but was shut down Bless Unleashed in 2020 by Round 8 Studios and Bandai Namco.
Bless Unleashed later shut down later in the year while the PC version continues to be playable on Steam to this day with a small but fairly decent playerbase.
