Bless Unleashed Partners With WEMIX To Introduce Play-To-Earn Mechanics

Yet another development studio has decided to chase the pot of gold at the end of the Bless Unleashed into a play-to-earn game. The studio has partnered with global blockchain platform, WEMIX, to incorporate play-to-earn mechanics into the MMORPG.

According to the announcement press release, WEMIX is looking to expand their services by partnering with various development studios with the goal of having 100 games in their platform by the end of the year. Details of the transition are still unclear but Valofe has issued a statement that is essentially a different version of a song that we’ve been hearing over the past few months.

“Various contents and the sense of freedom that can be experienced in Bless Unleashed create a synergy with the blockchain ecosystem,” said Valofe CEO Jaemyoung Shin. “We hope to present a special experience for s by onboarding the WEMIX platform.”

“WEMIX is the only blockchain gaming platform that has a complete set of coin, NFT and DeFi,” said Henry Chang, CEO of WEMIX’s parent company WeMade Entertainment. “We are very happy to be servicing Bless Unleashed on the WEMIX platform.”

Players’ reaction to the news is surprisingly benign with some players saying that Valofe should have included play-to-earn mechanics right from the start. Whether the move is enough to reinvigorate the Bless Unleashed’s dwindling playerbase remains to be seen.

Note that play-to-earn mechanics will presumably only be implemented in Valofe’s PC version since Bandai Namco and Round 8 Studios still hold the rights to the console version of the MMORPG.

The WEMIX coin is currently priced at $3.41.
