DC Universe Online’s Episode 45: Shock to the System Launches

The latest update for DC Universe Online, the action oriented superhero MMORPG from Warner Bros/DC, officially launched today for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox One with a Nintendo Switch release coming soon.

The update, titled Episode 45: Shock to the System brings players to Dakota City where they face off against new villains and must uncover the secrets behind recent disappearences.

Key Features of Episode 45:

• Shock to the System will offer normal and elite versions of On Duty content, along with level-agnostic event versions available for a limited time.
• The content will include open world missions and world bosses, with a duo (Abandoned Subway), alert (Meta-Therapy Clinic), and raid (Terrorium).
• The episode will feature DC and Milestone characters including Static, Ebon, Rocket, DeSaad, and more.
• The storyline will include adventures centered around the new Dakota City and written by acclaimed comic book writer Leon Chills.
• The episode will launch new player rewards, including gear, styles, feats, and more.

While DC Universe Online averages just 411 players on Steam, the game is more popular on consoles. It's also one of the few real action MMORPGs out there.
