EVE Online Kicks Off The Next Chapter In The Triglavian Invasion And Introduces New Ship In The Latest Update
EVE Online: Invasion expansion is now live with the release of the Invasion Chapter 2 update. The update continues the Triglavion invasion storyline while introducing a new combat mechanic into the game. Capsuleers will now be required to choose sides when participating in battles between the Empires and the Triglavian Collective.
The update also features the new Triglavian Dreadnought class ship – the Zimitra. “This new ship will prove a challenging adversary for Capsuleers, but also a desirable prize for those that can pilot it,” says C Games. “There will also be new skills required for piloting the Dreadnought, as well as new weaponry for it.”
16 new Firestorm SKINs and the Mimesis Implant Set have also been added to the Loyalty Points Store. The devs have also rolled out the Shareable Bookmarks feature which allows players to share specific locations with alliance and anyone they choose.
“EVE Online: Invasion Chapter 2 follows on naturally from the universe-changing events of the initial Triglavian Invasion,” says EVE Online Creative Director Bergur Finnbogason. “Our goal was always to raise the intensity of Triglavian activity in familiar space and have the impact of their presence be felt even further afield. We're very eager to see how players will influence the conflict that is building up and how they'll interact with all the new things that Chapter 2 introduces!”
