Genshin Impact Version 5.3: "Incandescent Ode of Resurrection" Launches January 1

The latest Genshin Impact update, Version 5.3: "Incandescent Ode of Resurrection", arrives on January 1, introducing Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, as a playable character, alongside new story content, characters, and the annual Lantern Rite Festival in Liyue.

The update features generous freebies with 1,600 Primogems and a new glider through a daily event as well as a free 4 star character through the Lantern Rite event.

• The Traveler s Mavuika and Natlan’s warriors in Act V of the Archon Quest to prevent the Abyssal Mimic Dragon, Lord of Eroded Primal Fire, from wreaking havoc.

1. Mavuika (5-Star Pyro Claymore )
   • Can switch between fighting on foot and riding her Flamestrider for traversal across land, water, and mid-air.
   • Builds Fighting Spirit to unleash her Elemental Burst, a powerful AoE Pyro attack.
   • Reduces the Nightsoul Transmission Cooldown for the party by 20%.
2. Citlali (5-Star Cryo Catalyst )
   • Summons Itzpapa and Citlalin for AoE Cryo attacks and shields.
   • Reduces Pyro and Hydro RES of enemies affected by Frozen or Melt.
   • Enhances team even when off-field.
3. Lan Yan (4-Star Anemo Catalyst )
