Hyper Universe hosting free weekend to celebrate launch
Nexon launcher this Friday starting December 15th running till December 20th. The game is set to launch shortly afterwards. Fans of Hyper Universe have one last chance to purchase the game's founder pack during this event for 50% off of its original price of 15.99$ (7.99$).
In addition to the free weekend, Hyper Universe also launched an update today which added a new brusier class Hongdukei a competitive ranked mode and a Holiday themed map. Since Hyper Universe launched on Steam August 24, 2017 the game has never managed to garner much of an audience. Shortly after early access began the game peaked at 529 players and quickly declined afterwards and now only averages about 24.6 players a day according to steam charts.
The game also launched its ranked mode with its 3.8 update this week which introduced it's pre-launch Season 0 ranked ladder system. Players start at Rookie tier and can climb all the way up to Grand Master.
Perhaps one of the reasons Hyper Universe couldn't gather much of an audience during early access is because its buy to play. Maybe after the game launches and transitions to free to play it will see more success, but only time will tell.
