Dual Universe New Public Test Server Is Now Live With Update 0.24
Dual Universe Public Test Server where backers and all active subscribers can preview and test out new features and provide before they go live on the game’s beta build.
On the subject of new features, Update 0.24 is now live on the PTS which will be live until March 2 at 6am PST. The team warns testers that the current PTS build, as well as future builds, will be unpolished without customer . The test server may also be taken offline for extended periods and wiped without advance notice.
“It’s important to note that PTS is solely for testing purposes,” reiterates the team. “We’d like to manage expectations that updates to the PTS may include feature prototypes and gameplay changes that may not ever come to the Live server.”
The PTS will use the same information as the live servers although players will have to a separate client if they want to get in to the test server. Details can be found on the Dual Universe official newsletter.
Why a game in beta testing needs a separate test server to test new features is beyond me, but to each his own.
