New Information On Project Sansar

In an interview with Neilie Johnson on mmorpg.com, Linden Labs has shared some new information about Project Sansar, the successor to popular virtual world Second Life. According to Linden Labs, the next-generation virtual world has been designed in a way which "the creator is king" and will provide better tools and resources for them to make money. Rather than the steep landcosts that make up the world of Second Life today, the developers have stated their intent to lower landcosts and instead add a sales tax to commercial ventures.

Another big statement is their intention to lower the minimum age to 13, with the previous incarnation only allowing adults on the server. We can only speculate that this may cause problems with the large 'adult community' audience that the game currently commands and hopefully they can find a balance between the two.
