New Isometric MMORPG CorePunk Announced
A brand new isometric MMORPG CorePunk was announced today for launch on the PC. The game looks a bit like Diablo and other ARPGs, but bills itself as an MMORPG. Check out the gameplay trailer below:
The game promises a "Seamless open world", crafting, branching questlines, and more. The game is being developed by the Dutch gaming studio Maxbuff Coöperatie U.A. CorePunk is planning on launching into open beta test sometime in Q4 2020 according to their FAQ. No word on whether the game will be free to play, buy to play, or subscription based, but the game's FAQ says "The business model for Corepunk will be announced soon. We are fundamentally against the Pay-to-Win model."
“Corepunk represents a synthesis of our favorite settings and themes from science fiction,” says Corepunk producer Eugene Kiver. “Over the course of five years, we’ve expanded our team to over 100 people to ensure our vision of the ultimate futuristic fantasy comes to life. We can’t wait to have MMORPG fans live out their technocratic dreams with us.”
This isn't some indie MMORPG. This is a real game with a team of over 100 people working on it. I'm definitely excited.
