Overwatch 2 Shows Off Its New Tank Hero Ramattra’s Abilities In A New Gameplay Trailer
After officially unveiling Overwatch 2 earlier this month, Blizzard has now revealed the transforming robot tank’s full suite of abilities alongside a new gameplay trailer.
“Originally a war machine, Ramattra shed his munitions for a shield to protect his people by promoting peace and tranquility. His ideals weren’t far removed from his fellow Shambli monk, Zenyatta. However, Ramattra’s story is one of hardships, trauma, and a magnified view of humanity’s harsh realities.”
Ramattra is the hero shooter’s “first temp tank” and can change forms depending on how the battle is playing out. His Omnic form allows him to provide better long-distance protection by firing a steady stream of projectiles while also creating barriers to protect his allies. His Nemesis form on the other hand, is better suited for up close and personal encounters and changes his basic attacks to powerful punches that creates energy waves to deal damage to his enemies and allows him to put up a shield that reduces the damage he receives from frontal attacks but slows down his movement speed.
He can also unleash a ball that explodes as soon as it hits the ground, dealing AoE damage and pulling enemy heroes downward while also slowing them down. His ultimate, Annihilation, creates a forward-creeping swarm that deals a massive amount of damage and decreases enemy damage by a whopping 50%.
Ramattra will be ing the rest of the Overwatch 2 roster when Season 2 kicks off on December 6th. In the meantime, you can check him out in action in the new gameplay trailer below.
