Palworld ‘Inadvertently’ Fixes A Well-Known Exploit That Allowed You To Catch A Boss
This week’s Palworld update dropped a whole host of quality of life improvements and bug fixes, one of which “inadvertently” fixed a popular exploit that allowed players to catch the incredibly powerful tower boss.
The trick was to attack the tower’s Palpagos Island Defense Force (PIDF) officers to get a wanted level, fast travel to the Marcus and Faleris boss encounter, enter it with a PIDF officer in tow, and somehow get the boss caught in the crossfire. From there, you had the option to throw a Poké B… err… Pal Sphere to catch the flying boss with little to no effort on your part. If you were one of those who were able to pull it off, those days are unfortunately behind you.
“As a result of various bugs that we fixed in the most recent patch, a bug that allowed players to capture the tower boss was unintentionally fixed. We apologize for inadvertently fixing a bug,” Pocket Pair joked.
It’s worth noting that the fix wasn’t specifically mentioned in the v0.1.5.0 patch notes which could mean that it was really an accidental fix that likely resulted from a combination of other fixes. Or, maybe Pocket Pair just wants to mess with us.
We don’t know if they’ll be bringing back the “bug” again, possibly as some sort of event, but it’s highly unlikely that they will.
