Pantheon: Rise Of The Fallen Auctions NFT-Minted Artwork To Raise Funds For Development
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen by selling NFT-minted artwork. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, NFT or Non-Fungible Tokens are used to place value and certify the authenticity of a digital artwork, among its other uses in the cryptocurrency realm.
The studio has opened a MMORPGs development.
The community, however, has voiced its concerns about the new NFT storefront on Twitter, saying that it’s not a good look for the company due to the negative impact of cryptocurrency mining on the environment.
“It's really just about testing the market,” responded the studio. “If there's a market there, we'd be doing a disservice to the game's production by not exploring it. If there isn't, then that will become clear quickly and there would be no point in doing more.”
Pantheon's #NFT Fundraising Site is now live with unique collectibles (no in game items). Own a piece of Pantheon history. All proceeds go directly to development. https://t.co/uzoYEXHNsD pic.twitter.com/1bdXSSAVU7
