Project META Might Be A Side-Scrolling Action MORPG

Project META has been somewhat of an enigma since Nexon first began to tease it. The company has done well in holding us in suspense, revealing very little of their project. A teaser trailer, embedded below, was recently released for G-Star 2016, but it didn't give us much to go on. We merely got a look at some concept art, a few environments, and the phrase "Share, Talk & Try."

As of today, however, we might have a slightly better idea of what the game is. 2p is reporting that Nexon announced at G-Star 2016 that the game will be "a side-scrolling action MORPG" featuring an art style resembling that of Street Fighter V. It's a bit of an odd piece of news following the teaser trailer, which appeared to show open world environments with very little, if any, indication that there were specified side-scrolling pathways that player characters would follow, but the project does also appear to be fairly early on.

That being said, with the news that it will resemble Street Fighter V, I am quite interested in seeing what characters end up looking like and how well they mesh with the semi-realistic environments.
