Second Major Black Desert Online PS4 Update Introduces Awakening, Valencia, And Two New Classes

Black Desert Online is now live on the servers. The update brings with it the highly-awaited Awakening feature which unlocks additional skills and more powerful weapons for each of the ten character classes.

“Awakening is a feature that permanently boosts a character’s combat prowess and unlocks new skills and weapons for use on the battlefield. To Awaken a character, adventurers must first reach Level 56 and accept a unique quest provided by their Black Spirit. Once completed, they will receive a mythical weapon native to their character’s history that will deliver incredible damage to enemies.”

The update also opens up the desert kingdom of Valencia to adventurers where they’ll encounter new enemy types and a new world boss Kutum. Absolute Skills have also been added, along with Villain Mark system, new items, gear enhancements, and two new character classes: Lahn and Ninja.

"Given the positive reaction to our first content update, we expect to see a similar response from Adventurers today - especially with the game-changing ability to Awaken all ten character classes."
