Worlds Adrift Patch Addresses Lag Issues; Reveals New Of The Team

Worlds Adrift is getting a much-needed patch this week which developer Bossa Studios hopes will fix the annoying lag problems especially when approaching large in-game objects.

“0.1.8 Lands Tuesday! That’s right! And this one does NOT involve a world wipe. Full patch notes will be available on Tuesday, but for now the major thing in this update is a potential fix to one of the major culprits behind the client freeze – the big “lag” when approaching islands or ships. It seems to have made a difference during in-house testing, so we’re all very excited to see how it holds up in the world.”

The studio is also hard at work on fixing remaining bugs along with new features planned for 0.1.9. These include: artwork, climbing, visual effects for storms, sfx, music, item duplication errors, respawn errors, and salvaging. Bossa Studios has also acquired a pool of new talent since January which include Game Developers, 3D artists, a community and social media manager, and a new Associate Producer with new team on the way.
