Wrath Of The Lich King Classic Opens Two New Fresh Start Servers
With an army of players constantly waiting to get in to World of Warcraft Classic following the release of the Wrath of the Lich King pre-patch, Blizzard has deemed it necessary to add two new Fresh Start servers to help alleviate the queues and give more players a chance to start over on equal footing with each other.
“Over the last few weeks, we’ve been highly focused on realm populations and making adjustments to promote the long-term success of all realms,” Community Manager Kaivax said.
The developers have opened a new Fresh Start server called the same restrictions imposed on them as the existing Fresh Start servers and won’t allow boosting and character transfers for 90 days after their launch to make sure that everyone starts off on even ground. This also means that you’d have to put in the work and get at least one character to level 55 before you can create a Death Knight.
Blizzard has also rolled out a hotfix to make it easier for players to Battlegrounds matches by allowing them to queue up from anywhere in the game world. No Battlemaster required. Although the option to visit your local Battlegrounds gatekeeper is still available if you want to queue up the traditional way.
Meanwhile, the Scourge Invasion is now in full swing after its premature start last Friday. Changes have also been made to world events in Wrath of the Lich King Classic to ensure that they can be triggered and removed when needed.
