Farm Heroes Saga is a match-three puzzle game for browsers, iOS, and Android, and is similar to its popular cousin Candy Crush Saga, by developer King Digital Entertainment. As is common to the genre, players match three or more similar icons to remove them from the board; the bigger the match, the bigger the reaction, leading to strategic gameplay. Players must match a specified amount of specific crops every level with a limited amount of moves, gaining no points for matching unrelated crops. One feature that sets Farm Heroes Saga apart from other games is its crop bonuses—matching crops gives a bonus to the crops around the matched squares. The bonus gives meaning to crops that don’t reward points otherwise and awards additional points from matching the crops that received bonuses.
