Development History / Background:
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a buy-to-play 3D third-person tactical shooter developed and published by Ubisoft. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the sequel to Ghost Recon Wildlands and the first game in the Ghost Recon series with a fictional setting and narrative. The game was first revealed in May 2019 and went into a brief closed beta testing period from September 5 – 8. The game then held a three-day free-to-play open beta test from September 26 – 29 before officially launching worldwide on October 4, 2019. Players who purchased the Gold Edition of the game, however, were given a three-day head start starting on October 1, 2019.
American actor Jon Bernthal plays the game’s main antagonist, former Ghost Lieutenant Colonel Cole D. Walker. Jon Bernthal is known for his role in a number of iconic TV series including The Walking Dead and Netflix's The Punisher where he plays the role of Frank Castle.
