Activision Blizzard’s Internal Investigation Claims ‘No Widespread Harassment’ In The Company

Over the past year, Activision Blizzard has been the target of multiple investigations and lawsuits due to the alleged frat boy culture and rampant sexual harassment within its offices. The company had apparently started its own internal investigation with the help of an outside firm that they hired for the purpose.

The result of that investigation recently came to light claiming that there was no widespread sexual harassment and discrimination going on within the company and that the senior management didn’t downplay it because there was nothing to downplay in the first place.

“Contrary to many of the allegations, the Board and its external advisors have determined that there is no evidence to suggest that Activision Blizzard senior executives ever intentionally ignored or attempted to downplay the instances of gender harassment that occurred and were reported,” read the report as shared by PCGamesN.

It’s worth noting that Activision Blizzard’s report doesn’t claim that there were no incidents of harassment or discrimination that occurred just the number of incidents were relatively low compared to the size of the company.

“Based on his review, Mr. Casellas (former EEOC chair) concluded that there was no widespread harassment, pattern or practice of harassment, or systemic harassment at Activision Blizzard or at any of its business units during that timeframe. Mr. Casellas further concluded that, based on the volume of reports, the amount of misconduct reflected is comparatively low for a company the size of Activision Blizzard.

Meanwhile, the a separate investigation launched by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
