Albion Online Reveals New Features And Changes Coming In Its Next Major Update
Albion Online Robin Henkys is back in his comfy director’s chair to talk about the shiny new things coming to the PvP sandbox MMORPG’s next major update, Into the Fray. The update will introduce major changes to magic staffs, Castles and Castle Outposts, the Crystal League, and the Outlands.
Fire, Nature, Holy, and Cursed staffs will be getting a full revamp with the update, including new animations, special effects, audio, and new spells. Arcane and Frost staffs will also be getting the same treatment in a follow-up patch. Castles and Castle Outposts will also be getting update layouts, visuals, and battle flow, as well as new loot chests to fight over.
Daily dynamic events will also be added to encourage players to interact with certain features, such as Corrupted Dungeons and Hellgates. The team also plans to introduce “new dynamics” to the game with the addition of short-term crafting bonuses designed to introduce fluctuations to the market.
Travelling in the Outlands will also be made easier for new players with the introduction of new Portal Towns that offer adventurers a safe arrival point. Mounts will also be getting a new “Journey Back” ability which will reduce travel times for return journeys.
Into the Fray will also open the doors to the new Crystal Arena, which will feature Crystal League rules, as well as a non-lethal version of Crystal League. These new features will allow new players to slowly build up their PvP skills without worrying about re-gear costs.
Players can also look forward to new Victory Emotes, training dummies for Player Islands, zone exit tooltips, and improvements to the party UI. You can watch the full update reveal right down below, or you can also make your way over to the Albion Online official site for more info.
