Sonic's 34th Anniversary Brings Crossover Content and Events to PSO2 New Genesis

Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is marking Sonic the Hedgehog’s 34th anniversary with a slew of themed content, special events, and in-game rewards. The crossover brings Sonic and friends into the sci-fi MMO world with new cosmetics, quests, and anniversary bonuses, giving longtime fans of both franchises something to look forward to this June.

As part of the event, players can access new Sonic-themed items, participate in limited-time quests, and take advantage of boosted drop rates that coincide with key dates in Sonic franchise history. Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis has a long tradition of pop-culture collaborations, but this annual Sonic event is notable for its depth of content and popularity among the community.

Sonic-themed Build Parts: Items styled after Sonic, Tails, Dr. Eggman, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow are available as Build Parts for player housing customization.
Exclusive Cosmetics: The new AC Scratch Ticket: Sonic Style Heroines introduces Sonic, Shadow, and Tails-inspired outfits for in-game characters Aina, Manon, and Nadereh. Additional cosmetics include a Motion Change item based on Shadow’s "Doom Wing," new stamps, build parts, and hairstyles.
Sonic Super Festa Event: Running from June 10, the event offers a Rare Drop Rate boost of +100%. On June 23, Sonic’s birthday, the boost increases to +240%. Combined with the regular PSO2 Day bonuses, the total can reach +340% for players with a Set.
Limited-Time Quests: From June 18, alternating daily quests "Special Training: Sonic Sprint" and "Special Training: Shadow Sprint" will feature new enemies and music, challenging players to collect Rings and Chaos Emeralds across Halpha. Gathering these items powers up the player for a final boss fight.
Sonic Collab SP Scratch: A special Scratch Ticket system bringing back previously released Sonic-themed items, obtainable via participation in the new quests.
New Tasks and Rewards: Limited-time and Title Tasks offer new Titles, the Side Fringe Off-Center Perm hairstyle, accessories like Arm Wrap: Red and Giant T Sword Unit, and more.
