ARK: Survival Ascended Rolls Back Its Dev Kit Update Following Missing Item Reports

A lot of things in ARK: Survival Ascended are out to eat you, apparently that also includes the game itself. Last week’s massive mod-focused update introduced more dev kit updates and the first phase of its custom cosmetics trading and delivery system. Unfortunately, it also came with a nasty bug that magically made player items disappear.

The update was originally scheduled to launch last Wednesday but was delayed to Thursday as developer Studio Wildcard worked to fix a “hiccup” that they ran into prior to its launch. A day later, the studio was forced to roll the servers back and pull the update after reports of missing items came flooding in.

Studio Wildcard has yet to announce a timeline for the update’s re-release. In the meantime, the team has tripled this weekend’s Evolution Event rates while they investigate the issue. The Love Evolved Valentine’s Day event will also be making its way to the dino-themed multiplayer survival game on February 13 and will run until February 20.
