Black Desert Online Will Soon Be Getting A Permanent Season Server On PC

Black Desert Online players on PC will no longer need to wait around for seasonal servers to open as Pearl Abyss plans to make it a permanent addition to the fantasy MMORPG. Starting on September 20th, players will be able to create a seasonal character anytime they like as long as they have a season character ticket.

Season character tickets will be distributed on a regular basis and can be claimed by simply logging in. The only catch is that you’ll only be allowed to have one seasonal character at a time. If you want to create another seasonal character, you’ll have to graduate the existing one, which can be done at anytime once the character meets the graduation requirements.

The graduation system itself will be simplified and Tuvala gear will automatically be converted into regular gear upon graduation. Pearl Abyss will also be introducing a season that will allow players to unlock season rewards that are currently being awarded for completing season quests and challenges. More information about the permanent season server can be found in this FAQ.

In addition to the permanent season server, the developers will also be adding a “tagging” feature that will allow players to swap between two tagged characters on the fly, both of which will earn the same amount of XP. Both characters will need to be at least level 7 and be in the same town to be eligible for tagging. Hot swapping will also be unavailable during certain activities, such as conquest and node wars.
