Blade And Soul Deep Dives Into The Musician Class Ahead Of Its Debut Tomorrow
Blade and Soul players and fans a preview of the new Musician class courtesy of a new dev blog with more in-depth information about the harp-wielding warrior’s arsenal of musical skills and its two specializations: Way of the Divine and Way of Harmony.
“The Musician is a ranged fighter who uses a Harp to transform music into powerful effects. It uses notes as projectiles, melodies as shields, and harmonies to boost allies,” wrote NCSoft. “This class is released with two specializations that provide very different focuses: choose if you want efficient solo play or team . The latter brings new gameplay options to all parties for the first time in Blade & Soul. This class is only available to female characters of the Jin, Yun, and Lyn race. Lastly, Musician characters can compose musical melodies!”
The Way of the Divine specialization lends well to solo play, with abilities that focus on dealing damage with complex skill rotations, protection, and healing. The Way of the Harmony, on the other hand, focuses on ing allies in battle with various zone boosts and party bonuses.
For more musically-inclined players, the Musician also has the ability to compose actual music outside of combat. They can even group up with an ensemble of other musicians for impromptu performances and concerts when they’re not busy shattering the eardrums of their enemies or inspiring their brothers-in-arms.
The Musician will be making her debut performance on October 12th as part of the Symphony of Destruction update. The update will also introduce a bunch of other new content to the martial arts-inspired MMORPG, including delayed indefinitely due to technical issues.
