Blade And Soul Kicks Off Its Great Windwalk Race Event After A Month’s Delay
After being cut out of technical issues, the Great Windwalk Race is now live in the martial arts MMORPG. The highly awaited feature arrives as part of Update 17.1: Wind Chasers which rolled out today earlier today after an extended maintenance period.
Players can the Great Windwalk Race through the main menu and will be teleported to Cloudrift Summit where the event will take place. Once there, they’ll have 30 minutes to enter the race or they automatically forfeit.
“Once you’re in the starting zone, wait for the run to start once ten players are ready,” NCSoft explained. “You’ll then have to run as fast as you can through the course that will take you across the area. No pushing allowed! You’ll run across chains, rocks, and walls to reach the top of the mountain. Falling damage will apply, and you’ll be sent back to the last checkpoint if you die in this area. And beware of the obstacles!”
“The parkour is filled with green spots to replenish your windwalk energy bar and blue spots to allow you to jump more easily between the different sections. Claim the flag in the final area at the top to complete your run!” the studio added.
At the end of the race, participants will automatically receive rewards based on how fast they completed the course. They’ll also get additional rewards depending on how well they did during the week.
Meanwhile, Update 17.1 also kicks off the Grim Nexus Fever which will run alongside the Great Windwalk Race until December 7th. Players can also claim a compensation package from the Hongmoon Store on of the extended downtime.
