Blizzard Entertainment Confirms First Beta Test Date For Overwatch 2
Overwatch sequel-slash-expansion, Overwatch 2. The first beta test is slated for April 26th and will exclusively be available on PC. The first batch of beta participants will be selected based on a variety of factors, including the region they play in and their PC specs.
If you’re interested in participating in the beta test, now’s probably a good time to check the PC system requirements. Blizzard is also still accepting beta applications on the official site.
Meanwhile, the developers have confirmed that Doomfist will be switching from a DPS hero to a tank in the sequel. Game Director Aaron Keller described the newly-reworked Doomfist as more survivable with good escape abilities. “He basically has a leap that's similar to a Winston leap,” said Keller.
The beta release will also feature reworks to Bastion, Orisa, and Sombra, along with four new maps, and the new railgun-wielding hero, Sojourn.
