Cyberpunk 2077 Has Sold Over 13M Units Excluding Refunds

Cyberpunk 2077 has reportedly sold over 13 million copies as of December 20th according to a memo addressed to investors from CD Projekt Red. The number includes the 8 million pre-ordered units, physical and digital copies, and factors in all refund and return requests processed as of the December 20th. This means that the game has sold over 5 million copies in just ten days despite the issues that continue to plague players, especially on last-gen consoles.

“The Management Board has decided to disclose the above information in the form of a current report due to its potential impact on investment-related decisions,” said CD Projekt Red in the official press release. The memo comes after the barrage of customer complaints and bad media coverage, backlash from their own employees, and news that Polish investors and lawyers are looking at potentially filing a class action suit against the publisher.
