Exoprimal Promises A New PvE-Focused Mode In Response To Player

Exoprimal continues to impress with its latest trailers with Capcom dropping another one during yesterday’s Capcom Showcase 2023 on Twitch and YouTube. The new trailer offers fans more glimpses of the Anthem-like exosuits that players will employ against the horde of dinosaurs dropping out of sky portals, as well as the dinos themselves.

Dino Survival, the game’s primary game mode, combines elements of both PvE and PvP gameplay, pitting two teams against each other while they dealt with rampaging dinosaurs. However, players who participated in the closed beta test a few months ago felt that the action seemed to wane during the final moments of the match when players began to fight it out in full-blown PvP.

The good news is that Capcom has taken note of player and plans to address this, although it’ll come somewhat later in the game’s development. The studio acknowledged the demand for a purely PvE mode and promises to give players exactly that, a welcome relief for players seeking a cooperative experience without the competitive aspect.

“In the full version of Exoprimal, we plan to implement a mode where victory is determined by completing missions as quickly as possible instead of direct combat with other players,” said Game Director Takuro Hiraoka. “We hope you look forward to that.”

While it remains unclear if the PvE mode will be available at the game's initial launch on July 14, it’s more than likely that it will arrive sometime after the dino-fighting third-person shooter has launched. Hopefully, it arrives sooner rather than later.
