Even the Hero Engine’s website is no longer operational, and Heroblade servers are reported to be non-functional, according to s on the Hero Engine Discord.
Continued investigation led to Alex Shalash, a co-founder of MetaENGINE, a platform designed for MMO games, web3, and metaverse developers. According to his LinkedIn profile, the company was established in September 2021. Shalash’s profile also reveals that he's the co-founder of UEVO, an infrastructure firm founded in 2019, as well as the current chairman of the board and founder of Idea Fabrik. Notably, all of his company jobs are still listed as current and full-time.
Despite numerous attempts to determine the status of Idea Fabrik, no definitive conclusions have been reached thus far. Perhaps they’ve gone bankrupt or vanished into thin air. Regardless, this mystery is worthy of a sci-fi story in its own right, pr maybe a thriller if you’ve been banking on the studio to make a triumphant return.
