Kakao Games To Resurrect Echo Of Soul In Korea

In an unexpected twist Kakao Games announced they are resurrecting Echo of Soul for South Korean audiences. What? EOS shut down in Korea nearly a year ago, on October 22, 2015, due to Hangames' refocusing on developing mobile games. But now Kakao wants to bring it back to life.

And Kakao Games has unveiled a new class to raise the interests of veterans and newcomers alike: the Paladin. Clearly, less armor is more armor, thank you for the prurience.

To start the blood flowing Kakao Games released a "Come Back, EOS" trailer, that you can view below.

It's a pretty odd choice by Kakao Games, considering the previous publishers choice to abandon EOS in favor of other projects. The game hasn't been performing too well on Steam either; at an average of 144 players over the last 30 days it seems to be losing it's luster. But you never know, maybe the revival will give it new life in South Korea—not that I'm willing to place any bets.
