Legends Of Aria Will Be Delisted From Steam Ahead Of Its Blockchain Relaunch
Given Steam’s policy against play-to-earn games, Reaper Games will soon be removing relaunch the game with blockchain features. A non-crypto version, called Legend of Aria Classic, will stil be available for players who’d rather enjoy the game without the new play-to-earn mechanics and will be playable through a dedicated client outside of Steam starting at the end of the month.
“As we prepare for our relaunch, we will be consolidating the Legends of Aria Classic service, which includes delisting it from Steam (at the end of this month),” announced Reaper Games CEO Josh Rubin on Discord. “For those that are still accessing the game via Steam, we’ll share details shortly on how you can access your using the client on [the official website].”
Meanwhile, the team has rolled out the final Alpha update for the game in preparation for the start of Closed Beta testing later this month. The update introduces the Provocation and Peacemaking skills which will allow players to take on more challenging encounters even when playing solo. Cooking has also been updated to tie it in with the game’s Stamina system. Players can now eat food to replenish their Stamina while out exploring the game world.
As for the Closed Beta test, players can expect to see a whole host of new features, including a new quest system, the final version of the crafting system, endgame artifacts and items, and various gameplay improvements.
