LEGO Fortnite Set An All-Time Peak Of Over 2.4 Million Players Last Saturday

Fortnite’s trio of new spinoffs is making waves as they skyrocket to instant popularity following their respective launches this past weekend. LEGO Fortnite, in particular, broke away from the pack to set an all-time peak concurrency record of over 2.4 million players on Sunday.

If the game were on Steam, those numbers would put LEGO Fortnite securely at number two on the platform’s Most Played Games list, sitting below PUBG: Battlegrounds’ 3.2 million peak and beating Counter-Strike’s 1.8 million.

The survival crafting spinoff follows the same formula as your typical survival sandbox, except that everything is made of LEGOs. You get dropped into a vast open world where you’ll need to gather food and resources, build a shelter (or a sprawling LEGO mansion), and battle enemies alone or with up to seven friends.

“Explore vast, open worlds where the magic of LEGO® building and Fortnite collide. Get creative in building and customizing your ultimate home base using LEGO® elements collected from the world around you, then recruit villagers to gather materials and help survive the night. Gear up and drop into deep caves in search of rare resources and hidden areas.”

The two other recently released Fortnite spinoffs are also doing pretty well for themselves, with Rocket Racing setting an all-time peak of over 600,000 players last Friday and Fornite Festival peaking at nearly 850,000 players last Saturday.

All three games are free to and play on the Epic Games Store.
