Magic: Legends PC Launch Has Been Pushed Back To Spring 2021

Perfect World Entertainment has disappointing news for Magic: Legends fans eagerly awaiting the game’s release this year. Executive Producer Steve Ricossa has just announced that the MMOARPG’s launch has been delayed to Spring next year. Ricossa says that the decision to push back the game’s launch was based on gathered during the game’s previous Closed Alpha tests.

“While we evaluated player and saw quite a bit of positivity, we also saw some opportunities to make impactful adjustments. [. . .] To that end, we’ve decided to shift the release of Magic: Legends to the Spring of next year to ensure we deliver the highest quality Magic experience we possibly can.”

According to Ricossa, the extra time will help them refine the game even more through gathered from more Closed Alpha tests, with the next round starting at the end of October. He further emphasized the importance of player saying that it has helped them learn crucial things about the game which led to significant adjustments to the tutorial and onboarding experience, storytelling, character progression curves, and reward cadence among others.

Magic: Legends was initially scheduled to come out later this year on PC and consoles in 2021. Whether the console versions will be delayed or whether the PC version will launch alongside them still remains to be seen.
