Mortal Online 2 Adds Dynamic Weather, Beast Mastery, Pet Skills, And A New Mount
It’s going to be cloudy with a good chance of rain and thunderstorms in dynamic weather system. Players will now experience unpredictable weather as they make their way through the vast open world and they’ll also be able to tame almost any creature in the game using the newly-added Beast Mastery skill.
“Tamed creatures may now be controlled in ways previously not possible,” said Star Vault. “Allowing skilled beastmasters to command their creatures with a myriad of new abilities. Many of which are unique to specific creatures.”
In line with the new Beast Mastery skill, pets will also gain focus points when in combat and will now have a focus meter that affects how much damage they deal to their targets. “Each pet has a focus threshold indicated by a white ring on the focus meter,” Star Vault explains. “If your pet’s focus is below the white ring the pet will deal less than full damage, once above the threshold the pet will deal full damage.”
The amount of focus points that a pet gains is determined by the player’s Beast Mastery level and how close they are to the pet’s target. The closer they are, the more focus points they’re pet will earn. Tamed creatures will also have four unique pet skills that the player will need to trigger in order to use them in combat and will use up focus points.
In addition to the new features, the latest game update also heralds the arrival of Krampus and introduces a new mount, 50 new buffs and debuffs, 47 new skills, and 100 new AI attacks, among other things.
