Mortal Online 2 New Update Live, Adds Ranked Duels, Daily Tasks & More

The latest update for the hardcore PvP heavy MMORPG Mortal Online 2 went live today. The update brings a host of new features and optimizations designed to enhance player experience:

Spider Mounts:

• Players can now ride four different types of spiders: Clothos Worker, Clothos Flinger, Clothos Maiden, and Mountain Spider.
• Spider mounts excel at climbing steeper slopes, ideal for traversing hilly terrains.

Ranked Dueling:

• A new system for competitive play, featuring seasonal leaderboards, rank scores, and tier divisions.
• Players can initiate smoother, more polished duels and check match histories including wins and losses.

Surrender System:

• Players can now surrender to allow others to inspect their inventories, enhancing interactions and reducing risk during confrontations.

Daily Tasks:

• Taskmasters offer one high-reward Daily Task that refreshes every 24 hours, aimed at helping players progress faster, especially those with limited playtime.

Future Developments:

• features in Sprint 8 include Relic Wars, Guild Heraldry, enhanced Broker search functions, and group-oriented tasks.
• Expect more detailed previews in the development stream as release approaches.

This update not only adds new content but also improves various character and world aspects to optimize overall gameplay.

While Mortal Online 2 is a unique game in the genre with its hardcore elements (it was clearly inspired by Ultima Online and other classics), the game requires a subscription to access which will likely turn off many new potential players. Still, if you grew up playing classic PvP heavy MMOs, it's worth giving it a shot.
