Mortal Online 2 Is Gearing Up For Another Unreal Engine 5 Playtest On Friday
Star Vault will be reopening the Mortal Online 2 public test server this Friday for another Unreal Engine 5 testing round. The test will focus on the engine’s performance and finishing touches to get the upgrade ready for its release on November 5th.
Testers will be able to put the sandbox MMORPG’s latest UE5 build through its paces including performance and stability improvements that the developers introduced since the end of the last playtest. The team also reports that they’ve fixed the issues that plagued the last testing round and introduced the new Task Expansion system.
The new system aims to make various in-game activities more rewarding by offering better rewards and increased Renown gains for completing tasks faster. As players complete the initial set of tasks, they’ll unlock more difficult ones that offer even better rewards. Subsequently, players will be able to specialize in a particular in-game activity while also gaining reputation points in the process.
The public test server will be going live for the next UE5 playtest on November 3rd.
