Mortal Online 2 Is Finally Transitioning To Unreal Engine 5 At The End Of October

One year after its Mortal Online 2’s promised Unreal Engine 5 upgrade and it’s coming sooner than you think. If all goes according to plan, the transition will happen at the end of October and will not only drastically improve the sandbox MMORPG’s visuals but will also improve its backend tech.

The studio originally planned to release a preview of the UE5 version alongside the announcement stream but was forced to postpone it after a version messed up the Lumen lighting engine. The said preview will be coming soon, assured the developers.

During the stream, Star Vault also outlined changes coming to the recently released territory control system. These include new requirements when placing storehouses, tweaks to claiming stone benefits, limits to guild defense rate progression, and a potential increase to the guild supply cap, among others.
