MyWorld Lets Players Build Their Own ARPGs And Share Them Online

The Game Creators is probably most well known for its game development software like DarkBASIC and App Game Kit, but, in recent times, it seems that the company has been trying to bridge the gap between games and game development, what with projects like FPS Creator successor GameGuru. Yesterday, it attempted to bridge the gap even more so with the release of MyWorld, a new action RPG creator that doubles as a multiplayer action RPG.

We've seen projects like MyWorld before, not least of which was Microsoft's Project Spark. Because of their reliance on the community to create meaningful content, their success varies wildly and I imagine that MyWorld will be no exception to that.

The core features of MyWorld are as follows.

• You can create a world using "over 200 items" and "9 world themes" that are available to you.
• You can share the worlds you create online via the Steam Workshop.
• Up to four players can play together online in either co-op or PvP multiplayer.

The Game Creators CEO Lee Bamber had the following to say about the announcement.

We've created a World of Worlds! A universe populated by games created by MyWorld s - where you can take any world and make it your own, and with the easy to use controls, build exciting new experiences to play and share with friends. We've launched MyWorld with over 75 games to play through and our community are already producing and sharing their own creations, so many more will quickly be online to play.

MyWorld Lead Developer Dave Milton also weighed in.

My love of Action RPG game series like Zelda, Demon and Dark Souls, The Witcher and Diablo, is well known - all of which have all been an inspiration to me and have given me an enormous amount of ion for developing MyWorld in this genre. I hope everyone loves using MyWorld as much as we are enjoying developing it.

MyWorld is now available on Steam Early Access for $14.99, temporarily discounted to $11.24 for the week of launch.
