Natural Selection 2 Enters Maintenance Mode After 10 Years Of Live Service

Natural Selection 2 is now in maintenance mode as Unknown Worlds Entertainment announces the end of active for the PvP shooter. After 10 years in operation and a total of 117 updates, the team has decided to shift their focus to bigger and better things.

The game will still be playable online though and players will still be able to jump in and match up with other players or bots, it just won’t be getting new content from here on end. “Although this isn’t goodbye, we still would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to you, our community and to all of those that worked with us on Natural Selection 2 over the years,” said the devs.

Natural Selection 2 is also still available to purchase and on Steam for $4.99 if you want to check it out.
