NCSoft Reports Earnings - Guild Wars 2 Revenue Hits All Time Lows, Mobile Games Soar

NCSoft reported Q2, 2017 earnings today that showed overall sales increase 8% both quarter over quarter and year over year to $229M. Net income (profit) came in at $27.3 million. The most interesting bit of news from the earnings presentation as usual was the breakdown of sales by franchise:

Blade and Soul is now the company's second highest grossing PC MMORPG and continues to bring in steady revenue.

A mobile version of Guild Wars 2 is in being discussed internally, but nothing has been announced yet.

As always, the majority of revenue at NCSoft came from South Korea with only a tiny fraction (~12%) coming from USA/Europe.

Royalty revenue relates to money made licensing NCSoft titles to other developers. Example: Lineage 2: Revolution.
