Robocraft Challenges Players To Enter The Pit

Now past at version 0.9, Robocraft seems to getting fairly close to leaving Early Access. Freejam sent word that they have launched their latest update, entitled "Legends of the Pit," which brings with it a new game mode with many other additions and changes in tow.

The largest new addition in this update is the new mode, The Pit. This mode allows 16 players, 8 if they are all MegaBots, to go up against each other in a free-for-all setting with a completely new ruleset. The respawn timer is a mere five seconds. Kill streaks are only two kills. Killing someone fills your health back up completely. One point per kill. Twenty points to win. No penalties for quitting. It sounds like fast-paced madness.

AI bots have been added back into the game in the appropriately titled mode, "AI Bots." Each of these AI bots, ranging from T1 to T10, is provided by the community. The plan is to eventually make this the first step towards a full PvE mode.

A new payment option, Xsolla, has been added, as well. This allows players to pay for in-game items without ever leaving the game itself.
