The Undead Dragon Vorkath Awaits As Battle For Forinthry Goes Live In RuneScape
as was foretold many moons ago. The classic MMORPG’s latest update will task players with defending Forth Forinthry through a siege, culminating in an epic battle against the undead dragon Vorkath and the necromancer Zemouregal himself.
“Upon the freezing shores of Ungael, Zemouregal has awoken the ancient dragon Vorkath – now he intends to use this new-found power to wipe your Fort clean off the map. This would allow the full might of his undead armies to crash into the realms of Misthalin and sow chaos! It is up to you to stop him – with the help of denizens of Fort Forinthry…”
Those who manage to defeat Vorkath and Zemouregal will be rewarded with a new Necromancy incantation, the new Vorki dragon pet, and materials needed to craft the Dracolich Ranged Power Armor set. They’ll also unlock the Vorkath encounter as a daily boss fight that they can take on for additional rewards.
Additionally, players can also earn the Vorkath Death Guard and Lantern cosmetics by completing tasks in the new Vorkath Hunt event.
Aside from the new dragon fight and Fort Forinthry quests, Battle for Forinthry also brought back the Varrock Sewers and Edgeville dungeons for non-subscribers, reopened the Varrock Lodestone Noticeboard, and fixed a bug that prevented players from progressing through the “Evil Dave’s Big Day Out” quest.
