Sea Of Thieves Season 11 Will Add New Quest Table Feature And Fast Travel For Ships

Sea of Thieves is preparing to set sail into a brand-new season as the shared-world pirate adventure game’s 11th season looms on the horizon. Season 11 will mostly focus on new quality-of-life features that will help players progress through the game that much faster.

The highlight of the season is the addition of a Quest Table aboard ships. The feature will act as a central quest hub where players will be able to see a complete list of available voyages and activities as well as their reputation standing with the various trading companies in the game. It will also essentially let players quick travel to their activity of choice.

Despite the overall usefulness of quick travel, it does raise some concerns about its potential to be used as an efficient way of ganking one-player ships and that it will spell the end of open-world sailing.

The developers have also yet to confirm whether the feature will be available on the PvP-focused Higher Seas servers, the PvE-exclusive Safer Seas, or both. Based on the fact that it will show reputation standing, my guess is that it will exclusively be available in Higher Seas.

On the subject of reputation, trading companies will also be updated with additional reputation levels to earn that will offer more cosmetic and ship item rewards. Trading company loot will also be revamped to include faction-specific treasure hunts that will reward players with plenty of gold and reputation points. Players will also gain a small amount of reputation points upon finding treasure in addition to the points that they earn when they turn it in.

Other notable updates arriving with Season 11 include new faction-specific ship crests, new cartographer’s weapons, and a new collection of Plunder rewards. The new season begins on January 23rd.
