SMITE: New “Batty” God Introduced With Terror Of The Night Patch
SMITE released their Terror of the Night 3.19 patch which introduced a new god befitting the season. Camazotz, the Deadly God of Bats, is a vampiric mind assassin with a myriad of skills designed to leech health from enemy gods and heal himself in the process. Hi-Rez talks about the inspiration behind the “batty” assassin in a recent dev blog:
“We really wanted to make sure that Camazotz felt like a bat. [He] brings a few new things to a team that junglers usually don’t. First, his sustain. He can remain in the jungle for a very long time and apply constant pressure to lanes without having to back, especially if kills are happening and he has essence pools to drink. The other things he brings, is early game tower dives. His Ultimate allows him to deal sufficient damage to enemies very deep under their own towers. Not many Assassins can do that.”
