SMITE Odyssey 2017 Begins, Free Gods Week On Xbox One
SMITE's Odyssey event is back and the 2017 edition has some surprises. Officially having started on September 13th on PC and tomorrow on consoles, the event brings with it "SMITE’s first ever PvE experience." Known as Xing Tian's Mountain, the new PvE mode allows five players to work together to take down waves of enemies.
The event itself works by allowing players to either take on a series of seven quests each week or purchase specific content in order to get Odyssey Points. Odyssey Points can then be spent on additional content. Odyssey content that was added in the initial Odyssey 2017 patch, Patch 3.17, includes the Foxy Ameterasu skin and the Old Wa Nu Wa skin, among others.
As an added bonus, from September 20th at 5 AM EDT to September 26th at 5 AM EDT, Hi-Rez is running a Free Gods Week on Xbox One, allowing everyone who plays SMITE on Microsoft's console to play as any of the game's gods whether they own them or not.
