Sojourn Will Finally Be Making Her Debut In Overwatch 2 After Years Of Teasing
After teasing Sojourn as a playable character in Blizzard Entertainment has finally officially announced the new railgun-toting cybernetic hero. Vivian Chase, a.k.a. Sojourn, will be the 33rd hero in the MOBA shooter’s roster and will be making her long-awaited debut in the Overwatch 2 spring beta test scheduled for April 26.
“Sojourn is ready to deploy. As a former Overwatch Captain, Sojourn fields abilities designed to plan, lead, and execute strikes on her opposition. […] Sojourn offers a unique mid-range gameplay experience and a kit packed with some incredible mobility and artillery.”
Sojourn’s playstyle focuses on accuracy and ensnaring enemies using her Disruptor Shot AoE ability to ensure that she hits her targets with her hard-hitting railgun and her piercing Overclock ultimate. Her cybernetic body also allows her to use a rocket-powered slide and leap high into the air to quickly adjust her position and line up for the perfect shot.
“You will have a limited time to make a big play... or you could miss all your shots,” said the devs.
“She’s probably not going to be a hard flanker, but it’s easier for teams to spread out in a 5v5 world. You can poke from wider angles, and that’s where Sojourn’s mobility becomes important,” they added.
